Overview
What this course covers
ModelCHECK is the verification tool inside Creo Parametric used to check that CAD data conforms to defined standards before it is released. This course covers how to set it up and apply it across the three model types an engineer produces: parts, assemblies, and drawings.
The work is structured around configuration and checking. Engineers set up ModelCHECK configuration files and check rules, then run verification on geometry, features, parameters, references, and documentation, reading and acting on the reports the tool produces.
The course closes with auto-correction, batch processing, and customization of checks, followed by a practical project that applies the full workflow to a complete assembly.
OUTCOMES
What you'll learn
Configure ModelCHECK environments, configuration files (including config_init.mc), and custom check settings
Verify part models — geometry, features, parameters, material and unit checks, and regeneration diagnostics
Verify assemblies — structure, external references, constraints, and simplified representations
Verify drawings — drawing standards, dimensions and annotations, formats and notes, and BOM and table checks
Apply CAD standards and defined verification rules to engineering data
Generate and interpret ModelCHECK reports and diagnostics
Use auto-correction, batch processing, and custom checks, and troubleshoot configuration issues
